Tirso de Molina participated once again in the Global Classrooms project sponsored by the Community of Madrid Ministry of Education. The bilingual section classes in the 3rd of ESO spent the first trimester of the school year learning about the United Nations, our designated countries, the assigned topic, and debating techniques. Our school researched the following countries; Austria, Brazil, Senegal, Kuwait, and Papua New Guinea for the purpose of the project. Additionally, we researched and investigated the issue of the rights of migrants across the world in order to be prepared to debate the issue at the conference in January. Ten students were selected to represent our school at the conferences, which were a gathering of representatives from public schools across the Community of Madrid for the purpose of debating and seeking resolutions to the issues researched.
