PERSON OF THE MONTH: BILL GATES

Bill Gates saw the potential in PCs before anyone else truly grasped the commercial value of the concept. His foresight allowed him to build Microsoft into a $400 billion behemoth, and made him a passionate believer in the system that allowed him to do so. ”Some people, through luck and skill, end up with a lot of assets. If you’re good at kicking a ball, writing software, investing in stocks, it pays extremely well. Capitalism has worked very well,” he said in 2010. To those not as enraptured with capitalism, he offered a curt suggestion: “Anyone who wants to move to North Korea is welcome.”
That´s why I have chosen him as the man of the month, for becoming the world richest man with a net worth of 76 billion dollars. D.G 4º B

Global Classrooms 2018

  Tirso de Molina participated once again in the Global Classrooms project sponsored by the Community of Madrid Ministry of Education. The bilingual section classes in the 3rd of ESO spent the first trimester of the school year learning about the United Nations, our designated countries, the assigned topic, and debating techniques.  Our school researched the following countries; Austria, Brazil, Senegal, Kuwait, and Papua New Guinea for the purpose of the project. Additionally, we researched and investigated the issue of the rights of migrants across the world in order to be prepared to debate the issue at the conference in January.  Ten students were selected to represent our school at the conferences, which were a gathering of representatives from public schools across the Community of Madrid for the purpose of debating and seeking resolutions to the issues researched.  Our students did a fantastic job, and we are so proud of their critical thinking ski...

MONFRAGÜE

Today I'll have talk about the next excursion we will make any students of 4th ESO 1st Bachillerato and 2nd Bachillerato The days 7, 8 and 9 April we are going to the National Park Monfragüe. Monfragüe is in Cáceres (Extremadura). The excursion we do with biology and go to sleep in cabins of 8 10 or 12 people. I think it will be a great excursion and very funny. When we're not all there will be laughter and we'll have to get up early and walk a lot, but probably worth the effort. The routes that we have done are raised to see much wildlife and many varieties of animals. The price is cheap, 45 € the three days, so if it does not include the food, we have to bring us the house Those chosen to go to excursion were chosen by lottery as there was space for everyone.
